Designing systems
that work in
the real world.
I like problems that don't have convenient answers.
Daniel Adeyemi is a mechanical and systems engineer working across energy, agriculture, industrial automation and infrastructure. His work focuses on turning complex requirements into systems that can actually be built, operated and maintained — in Lagos heat, on farms with unreliable grid access, and inside factories that can't afford downtime.

Some projects start with a drawing. Others start with a problem in the field. The interesting part is what happens between the two.

SUNGRID 48
Solar Power System — Ogun State / 2025
A production facility was experiencing unreliable grid power and rising diesel costs.
- 0148 kWp solar PV system
- 02Hybrid inverter architecture
- 03Battery storage — 96 kWh
- 04Automatic changeover
- 05Load prioritization

132 × 550 W monocrystalline modules
Fixed-tilt aluminium rail array covering 1,860 m² of roof and ground mount. Oriented for peak output across the Ogun State irradiance profile.
The difference a system makes.
Water, where it needs to be.
Integrated Irrigation Network — Ogun State — 2025
Uneven water distribution across a 42-hectare production area was limiting yield across the outer rows of every block.
Mainline, sub-mainlines, filtration, pressure regulation, drip zones, pump station, fertigation point — eight zones metered and regulated independently.
| Area | 3.8 ha |
| Design flow | 28 L/min |
| Pressure | 1.4 bar |
| Emitter spacing | 30 cm |

Engineering is decision-making.
Function
Does it solve the actual problem?
Efficiency
Can it do so without unnecessary resource consumption?
Maintainability
Can people actually maintain it?
Reality
Can it survive the environment where it will operate?
Expertise.

Engineering problems rarely belong to one discipline. My work often sits between the technical team, the business owner and the people who eventually have to operate the system.
